Welcome Job Corps Centers using KP Compass for Culinary Arts

This blog site was created at the suggestion of Paul Cohen of Trapper Creek Job Corps Center in Darby, MT. to help the efforts of the existing centers at Cascades (Sean Prouty & Shelley Stephens) and Sierra Nevada (Debora Aragon) collaborate on implementation and curriculum development.

KP Compass is a powerful online LMS which takes existing content published by KP Education Systems and allows for complete flexibility to customize it into lessons and units that suit the teacher’s needs. By allowing teachers to insert their own materials, videos and test questions, each center can either have their own unique unit plans or build a unified curriculum which can then be further developed into what each center needs. There is a lot of potential and I’m personally excited to see how the Job Corps Centers will adapt this new curriculum and with the tools provided.
